A light of my own keeping — 1/1/21

You …..(2020 and its accomplices) tried to erase me and for some time I’ve fought that erasure and the accompanying darkness.

But I learned to see myself in the darkness and to embrace different parts of me.

Therefore, I no longer fight the erasure. I accept the extinguishing of myself in that light that I might walk in a new one.

A light of my own burning and my own keeping. A light that also has become a means for others to see.

Therefore, what was intended to dispossess me has left me possessed with more of my own fire…. Me.
